Solomon Kane - Ral Partha Puritan Adventurer With Sword

Been away too long, but I'm back with a vintage mini from 1979: Ral Partha's Puritan Adventurer With Sword, sculpted by Dennis Mize, and clearly inspired by Solomon Kane.
With a limited color palette, it painted up quickly.  I'm fairly happy with the face considering how small it is and how hard it was to get to with a brush because of the rim of the hat.

My plan to post at least once per calendar month has not changed...I just failed to do so over the last couple of months.  I hope to post again soon though. Stay tuned.

  1. Nice, crisp work that makes that red belt add some personality - and the face? Holy Cow, nice work on what is definitely a difficult area to get to.

  2. Yeah you aced that face. GS is right about it being difficult to get to, I imagine. 1979 is a REAL vintage figure, I'm pretty certain I don't have anything that old (unless it's one of those lumpy orc-like things at the bottom of my lead pile)
